Opportunities depend on Aid Room’s current needs and not every role is always available.
Volunteers do not provide legal advice or clinical therapy without authorization. Written authorization is required for photography or publishing client content.
What We Ask of Our Volunteers

Maintain dignity, respect, and trauma-informed boundaries in all interactions.
Ensure strict confidentiality and adherence to privacy policies.
Complete all required orientation, safety, and role-specific training.
Perform only assigned duties and authorized outreach activities.
Maintain reliable communication and consistency with schedules.
Never exchange money, gifts, housing, medication, or private services with clients.
No photographing or recording clients without explicit written authorization.
Never provide medical, legal, clinical, or financial advice unless specifically qualified and authorized.
Report any safety concerns or boundary issues immediately to a supervisor.
Follow all safety procedures and understand placement depends on organizational needs.
Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance or placement. Aid Room will evaluate applicants based on current organizational needs, role requirements, supervision capacity, qualifications, safety considerations, and applicable policies.

Depending on the role, screening may include reference checks, credential verification, a background check, driving-record review, or other lawful role-related screening.

Orientation and Training
Accepted volunteers must complete applicable orientation, privacy, boundaries, safety, and role-specific training before beginning.

Placement and Supervision
Volunteers receive an approved assignment, supervisor, schedule, and clearly defined responsibilities.
